It Takes a Village to Run a Snack Shack

This season we are trying a new system to fill our snack shack shifts. As you may know, our snack shack is the bread and butter of our league. The revenue from the shack is what keeps our costs low and allows for us to maintain our fields and equipment. What you may not realize, is just like the rest of the league, the shack is run 100% by VOLUNTEERS. If you are new to this, it is a fun few hours with our community. We all help each other and there is an experienced snack shack lead available every shift to show you the ropes, just show up and have fun.

In the past the league has assigned teams’ shifts and put the responsibility on the team parents and managers to fill the shifts. This year your family is still required to fill a shift but given flexibility to sign up for the shift that works for your family. Per our 2023 Player and Parent Code of Conduct reviewed and signed by each parent at registration, the requirements are as follows: 

Each family is required to sign up for ONE shift PER registered player in the league. (1 child=1 Shift, 2 children= 2 shifts, etc).

When signing up you must indicate for which player the shift is fulfilling the requirement.

By not meeting the requirement for each player you could directly impact your player’s eligibility for All Stars, Golden Glove games or future participation in the league. 

Once your shift is complete and you have signed in and out with the on-shift lead for your shift, your player’s requirement will be marked as filled.    

All shift workers must be 18 years of age unless otherwise approved by the snack shack shift scheduler a minimum of 2 weeks before your assigned shift.
