Dear Point Loma Little League Families,

We hope this communication finds you and your family well and successfully maneuvering the complexities of the pandemic.

It has been several weeks since we began our season with a wonderful Opening Day and then a sudden stoppage of play as we learned a new approach to life now known as “social distancing”.  We had planned on starting back into our season after spring break though as many of you have likely seen or heard, Little League International has put out another message to all leagues calling for the suspension of the season to be extended to May 11, 2020 (https://www.littleleague.org/news/recommended-temporary-suspension-of-little-league-activities/).  This comes in response to recommendations from the CDC.

We know the coming weeks will be difficult for all of us though we hold out hope that we may be able to play as soon as we are given the all clear.  The goal of the PLLL Board is to play baseball again at some point this year though what that may look like (abbreviated season, summer season, fall season, etc.) is still to be established.  For now, we will wait and monitor updates and send communications with our plans and information as it becomes available.
